The Marches Transport Festival has been running for 29 years and the Ludlow Spring Festival took it under their wing in 2010 when it became apparent it needed more financial and administrative support. As an important part of Ludlow calender upto 100 cars leave Leominster and meander their way across to the castle on the Sunday morning. Watching the spectacular vehicles make their way through the castle gate is part of Ludlow history and one we are proud to be able to support.
Inside the castle you will find over 180 vintage and classic cars in all shapes and sizes and all lovingly cared for and proudly displayed by their owners who are usually on hand to talk about their pride and joy. Some of the vehicles that are too big to come through the castle arch will be displayed on the top square just outside the castle and can include double decker buses, ractors and lorries so make sure you enjoy them too.
If you just wish to come and see the Marches Transport Festival then this can be accessed for just £2, however your entry price to go into the Ludlow Spring Festival includes this within the price so we advise you make a real day of it and enjoy both festivals in one!
Like a beer festival.... but better! With over 180 real ales, 60 local food and drink producers, live music and around 180 classic cars, do festivals come better than this?
Ludlow is well known for its fantasic food and drink but throw in the medieval castle, independent shops galore and countryside and views galore - a visitors paradise!
The festival focuses on beer, bangers and bread but it is SO much more than just this, with food and drink available to suit all tastes.
