What's on at the Spring Event

Ludlow has many things to offer both visitors and locals - from visiting the many historic buildings in the town to a meal at one of Ludlow's many renowned eating places. Sports fans and the active will not be disappointed: Ludlow boasts excellent sporting and leisure activities. Those who like to shop will enjoy the many and varied independent shops selling a wide range of goods. Antique collectors, book worms and art enthusiasts will also find plenty for them to do.

Pate and Pud Trails - a first for Ludlow!

Saturday will bring the Pate Trail which will take you around eight pubs and resturants trying and judging different terrines and pates - tickets from the marquee by the festival box office.

Sunday is the Pudding Trail which will let you sample and enjoy eight different puddings from the various restaurants and pubs taking part - tickets from the festival box office

Over the festival weekend there will be a number of activities happening in the town and many of the shops will be doing special offers for example Vaughans the Sandwich shop will have special sausage sizzling sandwiches to tempt you.

Ludlow Brewery will be open all weekend with a special beer and banger event taking place on the Saturday night with FREE entry with your festival wristband. There will be fantastic music from DNR and Whalebone to keep you entertained and more sausages!

Choc Star is a travelling chocolate dream serving this all time favourite to suit the ever changing British climate it gives its customers the chance to enjoy chocolate in a variety of ways, according to whether they need warming up or cooling down and will be on the square outside the festival over the weekend. www.chocstar.co.uk

If you fancy a change of scene, try the beautiful surrounding countryside, much of it designated an area of outstanding natural beauty. Beautiful pastures and rugged uplands are all within easy distance. Excellent walking, horse riding and cycling areas are right on the edge of the town. And for those who like to fish, Ludlow is surrounded by excellent fishing places.

Ludlow is also noted for the many events and festivals that take place, from the annual arts festival featuring open-air Shakespeare in the castle, the annual Medieval Christmas Fayre and the famed Ludlow Marches Food and Drink Festival. You will find plenty of things happening!
